Disneyland Resort DCP Spring 2016: Check In
For all those planning to participate in the Disney College Program your arrival date is pretty straightforward.
Once you accept your NEW role you will receive an email for Arrival Date and Time along with an Onboarding site, here you will be able to find your designated location and directions to park.
There will be directions for those Living in Housing and those NOT Living in Housing. (I will not provide that information just for the sake of keeping confidential information as a fellow Cast Member).
MAKE SURE TO EAT BREAKFAST if your check in is in the morning, you will be there all day. I cannot stress this enough, my arrival time was 10:30 am and we did not get out until 2 pm (no breaks).
Items to Bring: I will only be covering for Locals (not Housing Residents)
- Original employment eligibility documents
- Printed documents you will need to fill out (it will be sent to you via email)
Arrival Date: 1/19/2016
Time: 10:30 AM
Actual Check in: It only took about 15 minutes to have all my forms collected and then they asked us to sit inside a theater. As we waited for everyone to arrive, we watched and finished a full length movie of Big Hero 6. (this is what I mean when I say eat breakfast, you will be sitting in the theater until everyone has arrived and finished their paperwork!)
You will receive this blue pamphlet (picture below), it’s very important you read through the entire thing and remember to attend the events. Disney Traditions and other orientations will be shown:
Orientation: Appx 2 hours. All first time arrival College Program participants sit in the theater and listen to a brief history of the company, expectations as a fellow College Program participant as well as clips and introductions.
Our instructors introduce themselves as well as their team that are part of Housing, basically mini intros to how they got where there are today and how they can help you.
The one thing you will hear ALL the time is NETWORK. Trust me on this.
