Photo a Day: Foreground
Location: The Huntington Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens
Featured: Japanese Garden – the moon bridge
This beautiful piece of architecture has a bit of a story, you can learn more about it here: A “Lost Technique”, Found. The bridge was commissioned by Huntington and crafted from Toichiro Kawai.
Not only is the moon bridge a significant part of the Garden, there is a Japanese House right above the hill.
I always found the Japanese Garden the most peaceful area and serene among all the gardens created. It’s set in a such a beautiful way that right when you enter it’s like you’re in another world. As I stand next to the bridge I feel at peace; watching koi fish swim around the ponds, hearing the breeze through the leaves…
I challenge you to capture #Foreground in a photo. #Your365Gem
Capture your moment.
I’m challenging myself to capture a photo a day, a 365 photo project. It’s a daily reminder to appreciate life. There may be days I’ll miss but I’ll try my best to capture the moment. I get a list of photo ideas from http://captureyour365.com, try it yourself.
