I Tried Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake..

Location: Westfield Santa Anita Mall

Uncle Testu is highly known for their airy cheesecakes, it has become a trending topic all over social media so my initial reaction was “is it really that good?”

I tried Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake.. it’s definitely overhyped but I did like the airy sponge feel to it.

First of all, be ready for long lines!! If you’re willing to wait for more than an hour for a freshly baked cheesecake, be my guest. They freshly bake each cheesecake and each batch can take more than 15 mins to be ready. My advice head to the place during the weekday before 3 pm.

Disclaimer: 1 cheesecake per customer

Secondly, eat the cheesecake while it’s still warm! Don’t eat it when it cools down, the flavor is completely different, it taste kinda dull and looses its appeal.

And lastly, if you’re hoping for a sweet creamy like cheesecake you’re in for a surprise… it’s light and fluffy but not too sweet. The best way I can describe it as a mix of a soufflé and sponge cake.
