Review: Rimmel London 16HR Kiss Proof Lipstick

Rimmel London Provocalips 16Hr Kissproof Lip Colour

Color: 750 Heart Breaker

All lipsticks are amazing but some lipsticks never stay on all day. Rimmel London found a solution with their 16HR Kiss Proof Lipstick. If you know or follow youtube makeup guru, Judy from ItsJudyTime, then you know she created a video with this exact lipstick and color. (Click here for her video review)

I wanted to see how true this lipstick really is so here is my review:

How to use:

Step 1: Layer on the intense color all over the lips

Step 2: Layer on the Lock & Shine (basically locks the color on your lips)

I gotta say the color is highly pigmented. Heart Breaker is a reddish color but isn’t exactly dark red. It’s very thick but once dry it leaves a matte finish.

This is a great lipstick to use for an upcoming Valentine’s Day date (you know just in case you give a kiss). It’s pretty true to its title. I drank some coffee and there was no stain on the lid. I even ate greasy food, the color faded a little but I didn’t have to reapply.  I didn’t get to try it for 16 hours but for a full 8 hours it’s still perfectly intact! Personally, one layer of color is all you need and it’s pretty accurate to the tube color.

Overall it’s a great lipstick that is very kiss proof/food proof/drink proof.

Tip: Wait until the color is completely dry before adding the Lock & Shine layer, it may take off some of the color.
